Ashlee and James

Emo / Cottagecore for the vegans!

You’re thinking how do these two distinct styles come together? Well, Ash and James found a way.

Their love of music ranges from Slipknot to Ocean Alley to Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

They reflect this in their day to day aesthetic. You’ll often see James with black painted nails, Ash proudly dons many tattoos. So they knew they wanted somewhere that fit this style.

However, they also love being home, with their fur-babies or going for hikes in nature or simply getting a delicious bite to eat.

So how was their vision going to be made a reality?

Venue:

Aldinga Secret Garden is Adelaide’s worst kept secret. Nestled behind the Aldinga Footy Club, you enter through the back gate. Immediately you feel like you’re in your grandy’s backyard.

The garden isn’t expertly trimmed and manicured. The flower bushes are overgrown to perfection. The trees provide shade from the sun and warmth from winter’s bite. There’s a pebble stoned patio smack bang in the middle which makes for the best place to twirl and dance in. To the right? A makeshift ‘stage’ - the perfect spot to cosy up in, place your band or DJ or even say I Do.

The back shed has the most picturesque stained glass window of the calvary crosses, that when sun kissed, makes the room glow.

Photographer:

Laura Franklin [Mirrorball Hearts Club) is a genuine soul, humble and yet knows exactly how to shoot for the perfect photos. Laura knows the right ways to get you laughing but also feeling very in love.
